Description:
Our charter operator will be Steve Wallace aboard the Georgian Explorer.
Departure will be at the Christian Island Ferry Dock, 1 Dock Lane, Tiny Township. There is a parking fee of $10.00 / Day. Divers need to arrive by 8:00am. Boat departs soon after. Boarding will need to be done quickly as the ferries have priority. We suggest you bring 4 tanks. Alternatively, you can get your Tank fills at Neptune’s Locker Dive Shop which is located on Southern Georgian Bay in Tiny township, 1390 Champlain Rd L9M 0C1 (705 937 2172) approximately 12km outside Penetanguishene. Tanks fills are $10.00 for Air and $20.00 for Nitrox + HST. Store hours will be posted on their website in April. Steve will provide coffee, donuts & fruit on arrival, a hot lunch and cold drinks provided throughout the day.
Southern Georgian Bay is one of the best places in Ontario for diving, located just over 2 hours away from Toronto and an hour away from smaller cities such as Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia, and Wasaga Beach. Making it a short commute and an ideal place for divers and non-divers to find a multitude of activities.
With warm water temperatures and moderate visibility, it reduces the need for thick wetsuits, hoods, and gloves allowing new divers to feel more confident and excel in their skills. It also allows for easy multiple dives in a single day, saving time and money. Our wrecks and dive sites are shallow in water depth and located within seven miles which makes it very accessible.
