SUCI Rescue Diver Course Spring and Summer 2023

You Must be a member of SUCI

Dates, Times, Locations, and Activities:

1st April 2023: Close of Registration

1st May 2023: Rescue students complete eLearning

Spring , TPASC Training Pool, Self-Rescue Review and Rescue Exercises 1 through 4

Spring TPASC Training Pool, Rescue Exercises 5 through 8

Spring 2023 TPASC Training Pool, Rescue Exercises 9 & 10, and  (simulated) Open Water Scenarios 1 & 2

June 10th and 11th Marmora , All of the above exercises and scenarios in Open Water

Cost: $400.00 for the Confined Water and eLearning portions of your course, $125 for the open water portion. If you are not yet a member of SUCI our Membership fee for 2023 costs $150

Course details:

“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the SUCI/PADI Rescue Diver course. Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur.

The Scuba Gear You Use

You use all your basic scuba gear including a dive computer and accessories.

The Learning Materials You Need

The PADI Rescue Diver crewpak (An available option:$100) includes all materials required to complete the PADI Rescue Diver course – including a pocket mask. You’ll learn how to think like a rescue diver and preview skills you’ll practice with your PADI Instructor. Once your Rescue Diver course is complete, you can review the DVD to refresh your dive safety skills as needed. This tool box of knowledge and technique will give you the expertise to handle almost any emergency situation.

Prerequisites

To enroll in the PADI Rescue Diver course, you must

•Be 18 years or older. If you are between 14-17, you must have your parent or legal guardian take the course with you.

•Have a PADI Adventure Diver certification with Underwater Navigation (or have a qualifying certification from another organization)

•Be trained and current for first aid and CPR within the previous two years (Ask your instructor about Emergency First Response CPR and first aid courses).

Your Next Adventure
