In North Carolina we will be diving on some wrecks in the Gulf Stream where visibility approaches 100 feet and water temperatures are in the 80’s. The dive sites include the German UBoat U352, Spar, Aeolus, Indra, and many other wrecks intentionally sunk as reefs and a number of wrecks that sunk during the second world war. Local wildlife includes BIG Barracuda, BIG Sand Tiger Sharks, Southern Stingrays, and a large assortment of tropical fish. Chris and I are booking the first week of November. To reserve a spot on this trip call Olympus Dive Center at 252-726-9432 and tell them you are with the SUCI group. The dive shop has a great website you can visit at www.olympusdiving.com. There is a Dive Lodge located within 2 blocks of the dive shop that is $45 U.S. per diver per night. The lodge has 32 bunks in 5 separate rooms. Reservations can be made through the dive shop at the time of booking. Chris and I are staying at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, 5063 Executive Drive, Morehead City.
We will be splitting up the driving into 2 days. We will be stopping in Breezewood, PA for July 17 and July 21 and were are staying at the Days Inn.
