*Note: Should government and health officials permit leisure travel to the US, Wolfe Island does connect to the US via a short ferry ride at Port Alexandria to Cape Vincent. A 15 minute drive from General Wolfe dock.

Description Kingston hosts one of North America’s largest concentrations of freshwater wrecks ranging from 18th-century paddle wheelers to modern tugs, tankers, and ferries. From the absolute novice to the most advanced and experienced technical diver there is a wreck in Kingston that matches your desire. The crew aboard the Ry Nyshi, owned by Bruce Cameron, will get you there safely and comfortably aboard his meticulously maintained boats. We will leave from General Wolfe Inn dock on Wolfe Island approximately 2 KM from the ferry.

Bruce will do only air fills and are approximately $11 and $20 for Nitrox at Explorer Diving at 2214 Paul Boulevard, Kingston. 20 minutes northeast of the city PLUS THE FERRY RIDE BACK IF YOU STAY ON WOLFE ISLAND. IF YOU PLAN TO DIVE USING NITOX, BRING 4 TANKS. Explorer Diving is open from 8:00am to 6:00 pm Mon. to Sun. Phone number is 613 328-5467. 

Some of the wrecks you may visit include the Wolfe Islander II , City of Sheboygan and Munson .

Driving Directions: 401 east to Kingston to either exit 615 (Hwy 9) or exit 617 (Division Street). Approximately 2 hours to the ferry dock from TPASC. If taking Hwy 9, proceed south to Princess Street and follow the signs to the dock. If taking Division Street, proceed south. Take a left at Queen Street and follow signs to the ferry. 2020 ferry schedule from Kingston: 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10:30 a.m.; 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11:30 p.m.; and 12:30 and 2 a.m. A new dock is being constructed to arrive in Marysville. No completition date is known to date. If not completed, you will arrive at the older dock. Take Road 7051 and make a right on route 95 to Marysville

There does not appear to be a campground on Wolfe Island.

Directions to campground: Hwy 401 East to County Road 15 – Exit 623 – toward Smith’s Falls/Ottawa – turn left Go 2.1 km and turn left onto Cunningham Road. 

Ivy Lea Campground – Nestled in the Thousand Islands under and to the west of the Hwy 81 Bridge about 30 minutes from Kingston. For reservations: 

Reservations can be made starting on February 24th, 2015 at 8:15 am. Call 1 800-437-2233 or 1 613-543-4328. Campsites go very quickly and require a credit card. Sites 105-109 are excellent for regular camping. The park has designated “diving” sites. Sites 73-76 and 86-87 are on a small hill. Site 84 is at the water level.
