I first tried scuba diving in Mexico in 1991 and have been in love with the sport ever since. My favorite places to dive outside of Ontario are Cozumel, Mexico, North Carolina ,and the Straits of Mackinac. My favorite local area is the St. Clair River. It is like an underwater roller coaster, fast, a thrill a minute, and never the same twice. I love drifting down the St Clair in the spring and being able to see Sturgeon. It is like diving with dinosaurs. I have been a Divemaster since 1996 and started organizing dive trips in 2000. Whether diving on an old power generating station in the St. Lawrence River or seeing 100 year old pristine shipwrecks in the Straits of Mackinac, diving is such an incredible sport. Being a part of SUCI is fantastic because I get to share my passion with a great group of people. I love seeing the “WOW” expression on people’s faces after an amazing dive.
