Description:  The St. Lawrence was flooded in the 1950s to create the St. Lawrence Seaway.

This weekend will consist of 2 shore dives on Saturday. They will be the Power Dam and Lost villages. Both with a current of 2-3 knots (stronger than the Niagara River). Created when the St. Lawrence Seaway was created. On Sunday, we will head west for 2 dives to any combination of the Conestoga in Cardinal or the Rothesay in Prescott, or Centeen Park in Brockville.

Directions: Lock 21 – Lost villages: Located off the southwestern end of Macdonnell Island, is accessible by land from the Historic plaque. From Highway 401, follow exits to Ingleside or Long Sault to Highway 2. Enter the Long Sault Parkway (fee per car) to Macdonell Island. The Parkway’s facilities are operated by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission. Picnic tables are on location and a snack bar, washroom, nature trail, and camping facilities are only 4 km away on Woodlands Island
